Yes! The Bible! You may have guessed that was going to be my first choice. The book is the Bible, but the Bible is made up of books as well. The book of Jeremiah in fact was the book within a book and in the image below, which was graciously provided by UnSplash (?) shows the book of Jeremiah and indeed very close to chapter 18 of that book.
In Chapter 18 of the book of Jeremiah it talks about God being the Potter making and remaking his creation on the Potter's Wheel. This scripture was taught to me very early on in my Christianity and I felt as a relatively mature man, aged 31 years old when I got saved, that I needed a lot of making and remaking. I'd lived so long behaving exactly like I wanted to that it was so hard to change. In fact if I was honest with myself, no matter how hard I tried to change I couldn't do it. I mean, nothing which was worth while in the will of God for me to either start or stop wasn't possible by my own efforts. Nothing.
I have to submit to the moving hands of God on a daily basis otherwise I'm lost!
